LPR is typically used by law enforcement agencies around to the world to identify vehicles in violation of traffic regulations such as: no insurance/ tax / speeding, average speed camera, etc. ALPR is also used in car parks, motorways for automated toll-collection (M50 in Dublin, Ireland), security firms would use to track vehicles coming in and out of a premises etc.
